The Alliance Quests

Dark Elfs

Overview

The Dark Elfs are the real power of Jadame. They cover most regions with their presence and is a strong nation based on trade. The alliance with the Dark Elfs is implicit so no direct quest is needed to get them in.

Bastian Loudrin is the instigator of the alliance and you will work for him in order to make the alliance possible. He lives in Alvar (house 19 in the city). When you speak to him he will reveal many clues about the story line and present you his alliance plan.

Even if the alliance seems not well fitting with the end of the story you still need to do it. Unless you decide to use the Xanthor bug that disable the need for the alliance.

The alliance also unlocks the Regna region. So without the alliance you cannot go to the Regna islands.

Dragons or Dragons Hunters

Overview

You must do an alliance with 3 factions of Jadame. In this case you have to choose if you want to join the Dragons Hunters lead by Sir Charles Quixote or the Dragons lead by the mighty Deftclaw Redreaver. Both faction are neutral in Jadame, even if both faction fights against each other.

Before you can make an alliance with one of the factions you need to do a quest. Both factions will ask you the same quest. The alliance will be made with the faction to whom you claim the quest reward.

Given by: Sir Charles Quixote (Dragon Hunters) in Garrote Gorge (Caslte 24 in the village, trone room 1)
Deftclaw Redreaver (Dragon) in Garrote Gorge's Dragon Cave (Cave 4 in the Dragon Cave)
Description: Find a Dragon Egg and bring it back. Zog the Ogre is the one that stole the Dragon Egg.
Walkthrough: First head to Ravage Roaming and go to the northeast of the region. There is a big Fortress (cyan B one the map), go inside the fortress. Pull down the switch (cyan a on the map). Then you can walk down the stairs to the basement.

The Egg is in a chest (blue 1) behind a wall. Just clique on the wall to open it. Once you have the Egg a difficult choice will await you.
Reward: You can only give the Egg to one faction. Even if you have two eggs it will not work. Whatever side you choose you get 20'000 XP and 10'000gp.
Remakrs: You don't need to ask the quest to one of the faction to retrieve the Egg. You can find the egg prior to receive the quest. The Leader of the faction you choose will move to Ravenshore for the council.

The Dragons Hunters seek only one thing: Total Extermination of the Dragons. On the other hand, the Dragons only seek to kick out the Dragons Hunters from their land. There is no real true evil here, but most people find that Sir Charles Quixote hold the staff of evil. See by yourself with both cut scenes.

Clerics of the Sun

Overview

You must do an alliance with 3 factions of Jadame and you are a player of Light: this is your quest. If you want to ally the Clerics of the Sun to your cause you need to do a small job for them.

First you must go to Murmurwoods with your team and speak to Oskar in the Temple of the Sun. He is willing to join the alliance you want to make if you perform a small job for him. The force of Dark is a thread for him and it's faithful followers. So you will be requests to destroy the abomination the Dark side created "The skeleton transformer".

Given by: Oskar in Murmurwoods (Temple of the sun room 1).
Description: Destroy the "The skeleton transformer" from the necromancers.
Walkthrough: The Transformer is located in the basement of the Necromancer Guild fortress in Shadowspire (yellow 1 ont the map). So head to Shadowspire and climb the mount where the Guild is located. Inside you need to find Deyson Leland in his room on the top of the left tower (in map, room 1).

Once he is in your team, head to the top of the main stair to open the door (red dot on the map). Only Deyson Leland can do the job. After that, head down to the basement and kill all you want! Once you arrive near the Skeleton transformer you must close the door in the small chamber at the entrance (cyan a on the map).

Close the big door, then pull up all the 5 switches. After pull the big wooden bar in front of the door. Once this job done you can destroy the transformer. Simply activate Deyson Leland and enter the huge room (the blue 2 on the map). This will trick the animation of the destruction. You have noting to do!
Reward: Once the cleaning job is done go back to Murmurwoods and asks Oskar for the reward. You get 50'000 XP for the job done.
Remakrs: Only Deyson Leland can open the door and destroy the skeleton transformer, so he must be in your team. He must be active and able to do an action in order to do the job. Oskar moves to Ravenshore for the council once the alliance made.

There is a small quirk that makes the Light path more attractive to score based gamers. The reward for the Light path quest is better than the Dark side. So if you run for a better score prefer to do the Light quest.

Did you see that the shape of this dungeon looks like the Space ship "Enterprise" in Start Trek?

Lizardmen

Overview

Like the Trolls, the Lizardmen are shunned. There is no alliance possible with the Lizardmen. This is a very strange fact because they are part of the Jadame inhabitants as well as the Trolls or others. They have a village and are as well established (see map of Dagger Wound Island) as others, also they have a long history in Jadame.

The Lizardmen are part of the very beginning element of the game. You need to see the leader (house 20 in the village of Blood Drop) to get the first stone to activate the portals.

After you have the first portal stone you don't need to interact much with the lizards, expect for some side quests.

So some explanation possible on why the Lizardmen are not part of the council thus of the alliance:
  • They are archipelago inhabitants, so in the common folk view: primitive beings. They are in minority and their point of view doesn't matter at all. They are shunned by all other nations of Jadame.
  • They are so neutral that they absolutely don't care of what happens to Jadame and the other nations.
  • The game designers forgot they where a nation of Jadame and omitted them in the alliance quests.
  • The story line of the game is just not well made! (my best guess)

In my opinion they are not worth then the Minotaurs and should be as well added to the council even without an extra quest. The Minotaurs also agree without much trouble to join and have no natural enemy in the council. To mediate...

Minotaurs

Overview

You must do an alliance with 3 factions of Jadame. The Minotaurs will always join you. This alliance quest is the easiest of the game.

There is not much to do. Once you have the alliance quest go to Balthazar Lair in Ravage Roaming (see red I and III on the map). If you didn't drain already the Lair do it, else go down to Masul the Minotaur Lord's house (house 2 on the map). He will directly agree to join you since you helped him to drain the lair.

Once your alliance made, Masul will move to Ravenshore for the council. Also all the houses of the Lair will finally be drained and the inhabitants return to their homes.

Necromancers

Overview

You must do an alliance with 3 factions of Jadame and you are a player of Dark: this is your quest. If you want to ally the Necromacers to your cause you need to do a small job for them.

First you must go to Shadowspire with your team and speak to Sandro in the Necromancer's Guild. He is willing to join the alliance you want to make if you perform a small job for him. The force of Light has stolen a very important Relic: The Nightshade Brazier. This relic is vital for the forces of dark. Without it they cannot win the war between them and the evil forces of Good ;)!

Given by: Sandro in Shadowspire (Necromancer's Guild room 2).
Description: Your job is to find and bring back the Nightshade Brazier.
Walkthrough: First you must hire Deyson Leland, without him impossible to do the quest. So fire your weakest team member if you're a full and hire Deyson Leland. He lives in the Necroamncer's Guild in the left tower in the room on the top.

The Nightshade Brazier is located in the basement of the Temple of the Sun in Murmurwoods. So head to Murmurwoods, enter the Temple of the Sun. If you face the door of Oskar (leader of the Sun Clerics) go to the left near the first torch you see. Under this torch must appear a red button now (cyan a on the map).

Activating the button opens the star at the lower floor. Head inside the hole and find the Nightshade Brazier on the blue 1. Then you need to go via the door at II.
Reward: Once the Nightshade Brazier in your possession go back to Shadowspire and asks Sandro for the reward: 12'500XP and 8'000gp.
Remakrs: Only Deyson Leland can see the button, so he must be in your team. He don't need yo be active but able to do an action. Sandro moves to Ravenshore for the council once the alliance made.

There is a small quirk that makes the Dark path less attractive to score based gamers. The reward for the Light path quest is better than the Dark side. So if you run for a better score prefer to do the Light quest.

Trolls

Overview

Well actually there is no alliance possible with the Trolls. This is a very strange fact because they are part of the Jadame inhabitants as well as the Minotaurs or others. They have a village and are as well established (see map of Ironsand Desert) as others, also they have a long history in Jadame.

The Troll nation is the main key to obtain the alliance quest. Bastian Loudrin in Alvar (house 19 in the city) request you to bring him a Troll from the witness!

So some explanation possible on why the Trolls are not part of the council thus of the alliance:

  1. They are to stupid to be organized and don't have a true leader that can lead them. This means they are a minority without any power and shunned by all other nations of Jadame.
  2. They are so neutral that they absolutely don't care of what happens to Jadame and the other nations.
  3. The game designers forgot they where a nation of Jadame and omitted them in the alliance quests.
  4. The story line of the game is just not well made! (my best guess)

In my opinion they are not worth then the Minotaurs and should be as well added to the council even without an extra quest. The Minotaurs also agree without much trouble to join and have no natural enemy in the council. Also Bastian Loudrin speaks to one of them and takes credit that involved the second chapter of the game. To mediate...
